I'm may not understand exactly what incspring is going for, but I think it's a bit off to call a logo a "brand". Any brand really exists in the mind of the consumer, and is ever changing. While ad agencies talk a lot about brand I think that most of them really mean identity. Identity is really more of a signature, making sure that a company always looks the same everywhere. This can help people to associate a product or service with a brand, but I don't think it *is* the brand.
