I need help. Since I started reading blogs (and writing this one), I've been bombarded on a daily basis with hundreds of incredible ideas from the coolest people on the planet. While I've been doing my best to share them with you while implementing some into my practice, I've found that the demands of my actual job are cutting into my time to innovate and think about new things.
Therefore, I've decided I need to hire an Innovation Assistant -- a combination personal assistant, brainstorming partner, and project manager -- to help me get some amazing and innovative projects off of my "to do someday" list and into the real world.
So here is the deal: I want anyone who is interested to write me an e-mail describing what you think an Innovation Assistant should do -- and then telling me why you should get the job. I'll pay the ideal candidate well, and they will be able to work virtually from home 10-20 hours per week.

Dear Matt,
I read and re-read your listing trying to understand and grasp what it is you really need and want in an assistant...is it a business associate? I am not a business person. I do have a great deal to offer in bring grace, calm, beauty and enjoyment into people's lives. I'm an excellent organiizer, I have taste and use discretion. I have very nice manners. I have 20+ years of experience helping my clients balance their business lives with their personal lives. Bringing their houses around to homes where they can enjoy family and friends and themselves. I have planned events and parties for my clients that were truly unforgettable. I'm also very, very happy to find you the book you've always wanted to read or the most beautiful, exquisite flowers you've ever seens If you want to have a life and balance I may be able to help you with this. You might be entirely focused on the computer and thinking "business" night and day. This would not be a place where I can be very helpful.
Sincerely,
Lynn Springer

It sounds like you need someone who is part assistant, part executive, someone who can help you spawn ideas, help you evaluate them, and then help bring them to fruition. Brainstorming is not enough. The second step is to think critically to analyze the ideas and prioritize them, later bringing together the resources necessary to make them into practical applications.
I believe I am eminently qualified to help you do just that. My idea flow amazes me sometimes. I also come from a 20+ leadership background in the Navy, where I was known to encourage and stimulate unconventional solutions to conventional problems, then to find the best people to put those ideas into practice. I am not an engineer, but I have a broad, diverse knowledge base and understand a wide range of technical subjects and scientific principles. I possess excellent communications and people skills, which I find invaluable in any endeavor, and really love collaborating.
If you want me, I could be your man!
